I was in the mood for a nice economical breakfast at Norms. The one in Orange is the closest to Tustin, but the Denny's was right there near the I-5 overpass. Haven't had a meal there in years and the TV commercials tauting their new menu, worked. My "Crazy Spicy Skillet" was brought to my table promptly, was good temperature, and portion size was good for all but the most starved belly. They didn't have raising toast, which I still think of as a step down from the pancakes Norm's and some others offers instead of toast. The skillet had enough peppers and a good molé-like sauce consistent with a spicy dish. With endless coffee, it filled me up. For a spicy wake-me-up breakfast, a Mexican omelette or similar skillet at one of the other local diners will give more for the money. But if you are hungry, it's already in your field of vision, or it's 3am (they are open all night), it will get the job done.
