Every time I go in it seems I need a referral to another specialist.(which isn't the problem) They will tell me by a certain date I should hear as to when my authorization is approved. Every time I call their office back on the date or a day later as to the status of my approval for the referral they tell me it is still in the system. Well I am no dummy so I call the medical group who handles the referrals, they tell me it wasn't even submitted until the day before it was to be approved per their statement to me. Submitting a referral to an important specialist should be a timely manner not a week after the patient has been in the office. Poor Poor customer care folks. The patient should have to do their own recon work just to find out when they can get treatment. Will be finding another provider soon. SAD that they do not care about their patients if they did the patients would be doing all the leg work to get treatment.
