El Cajon Sew & Vac

I reached out to El Cajon Sew & Vac about my four-month-old Singer Futura XL-580. It was completely locked up due to my own negligence. (I had just switched out my thread for a color change, and I didn't realize the end was draped over the hand wheel.) The owner, Jimmy, responded to my inquiry and said he would take a look at it, and I could come in the very next day. He also gave me a quote. Yelp automatically sends inquiries to two or three other businesses, who kindly declined working on my Futura. Jimmy sat down with us and explained not only what he was doing, but how I could do it myself. It took less than a half an hour to get all of the thread out of the machine and back in working order. When I asked how much I owed, he graciously said, "No charge." Jimmy will be my "go-to" guy for all things embroidery/sewing, including when I am in the market for a new machine.
