iStorage Sunrise Monier

When iStorage took over, I visited to sign a new contract. When I walked in, the guy there said, "What can I do you for? I mean, what can I do for you?" I did not think it was funny at all. Highly inappropriate statement. We had never met prior to then. Also, the new contract stated that they are not responsible for damage to property damage caused by their intentional or unintentional actions. Really? I moved out within month. I cannot recommend this place.

We rented the storage space with the previous owners. They were very pleasant and helpful. The place wasn't in the greatest condition. They obviously have a moisture problem as all the metal doors are rusting and there is white calcium coming up through the concrete slabs...but the price was good and we only needed it for 3 months. 1 month into our rental a company called iStorage purchased and took over. They painted the whole place...right over the rust and dirt and everything trying to give the appearance that they had remodeled. The new management team were rude and nasty to deal with. They were trying to force us to sign a new lease and even threatened to cut our lock off and auction off our storage unit! We had pre-paid the whole 3 months and only had 2 weeks left on our lease when they made this threat. I almost wish they would have tried it. It would have been an interesting court case considering the fact that we had a 3 month lease and they never even notified us in writing that there was new ownership! I would NEVER rent from this place or recommend it to anyone. I would give it "0" stars if I could. Very unsatisfied customer! We also had 2 storage units at Golden Key Storage in El Dorado Hills and rated them at 5 stars! I rarely give negative reviews...but iStorage went out of their way to earn it.
