Motel 6 Monterey Downtown

This is our best experience at a motel 6 by far. We've stayed at different motel 6 locations throughout Central California and Bay Area , so we know what to expect from them. The room was modern , spacious and clean. Front desk friendly from check in to check out. Definitely will stay here again in the future.

The second floor room had a peek a boo view of the ocean, blooming geraniums hanging from the bright white railing and a great walking trail across the road. The room was cleaned each day. The bed was comfortable especially with the extra blanket and pillow provided. The bathroom was roomy with the extra wide shower curtain rod. The bath mat was extra thick and natural fiber cotton loops. The microwave and frig allowed me to enjoy the Asian takeout located next door for several meals. The only challenges were the substandard clothing pegs rather than the usual sturdy rods and hangers. The cable controls and menu didn't allow me to search for movies very easily and required me to pay for most of the movies I wanted to watch. The asphalt replacement crew were noticeable on the weekday morning but were also freindly and careful to always allow for my vehicle's passage. Nevertheless, the staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. I never had to wait more than a few seconds at the front desk and when requested I received the sewing kit as advertised in my room for free.
