Great church. I googled "our lady of Malibu" and couldn't find a Vatican approved devotion, nor a legend, nor nothing. I did some research (read a plaque at the back of the church) and realized the original name must have been "our lady of the burning bush" relating to the burning bush of Moses fame which burns but is not consumed. But I figure "our lady of burning bush" eventually got too many whispered jokes about side effects of antibiotics, or pubic lice, or herpes, so they had to modify the name. In any case, a cute church, a moving priest, a warm congregation, and up lifting music. That makes up for the odd name.
