Dr Porter is excellent. Highly recommend him. I was disturbed by the mention of Mercedes not being compassionate especially towards veterans. Her husband that at one time was Dr Porter's nurse is, in fact, a veteran. He served honorably in the military. Mercedes was correct in saying it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get in to SVDH. By experience I can tell you that her calling would have done no good. You were lucky to have gotten in due to a cancellation. An example: I needed a bone density test asap so I could have treatment for my back. Order was marked STAT! SVDH made an appt for July and it was March! My husband needs ongoing treatment for an infection that must be treated weekly. SVDH cannot do it weekly. I now go to Kaweah Delta Imaging in Visalia. Walked in and got bone density test and my husband gets his weekly treatment. So, as I said, problem is not Mercedes it is with SVDH!
