Very good Mexican food with both the more common items, and the Mexican equivalent of Haute Cuisine. Ask for samples of the guisados!! There is an emphasis on quality ingredients, consistent prep and presentation, cleanliness, and friendliness. Disclaimer: I am a close personal friend of the owner/operators. However I did not know them when they opened. I became a friend as my wife and I grew to know Oscar y Dulce, and what first class family people they are. They actually took my wife and I and our 5 pets in during the Harris fire!
Awesome place, not the usual fare, interesting, authentic dishes, wonderful onwership and staff. You'll have a great time here. Wonderful addition to our little corner of East Country, Casa de Oro. Don't miss Taco Tuesdays!
Surprising food from Mexico City, flavors we don't see on the border in San Diego! Family run with a family recipe variety of moles and sauces. Try the Peanut Butter. Not sweet, very nutty flavor with warm spices to back it up. It was a table favorite when we tried six (6) sauces they had on tap. They also have a full bar so stop by for a tequila and comida!
