Rubel’s Castle is a magical and completely unexpected castle created from river rock and found objects over the course of a few decades, beginning in 1968. It was the brain child of Michael Rubel, a Glendora resident who had fallen in love with the citrus farm as a child and purchased the property in 1959. The Castle has a rich and whimsical history snd was a project that brought many neighbors and members of the community to expand the boundaries of imagination into the tangible. Huell Howser did two pieces on the place which can be found on YouTube. It was donated to the Glendora Historical Society and can be toured by contacting them. It is also available for rental for a variety of needs.
