The Gateway Restaurant & Lodge

Excellent dining. We had dinner here both nights we were here and they were both excellent. A little pricier than some other Three Rivers dining spots, but the food is well worth it and you get A Lot for your money, most entrees include a salad or soup to start and they bring bread to start. Wait staff very polite and accommodating. We also stayed one night at the lodge as we needed a place last minute and they had an opening for us. Room had a sauna (private) and a deck overlooking the river. Great deal for the price and my wife and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Excellent food, great service at the bar. Good music choice and a fun welcoming kind of atmosphere. We had a great time talking with some local residents and the restaurant owner. Location is literally a couple hundred feet from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Didn't take advantage of lodging as it was booked full. Parking can be a little tricky and reservations for dinner on holidays is a must... Although sitting at the bar was just as enjoyable if not moreso.
