I highly recommend this campsite for anyone looking to see Sequoia National Park but not stay in the park. It's only about 20 minutes to the Park's Foothills entrance which has a lot of nice hikes. From there it's another 40 minutes to the Giant Forest and another 20 to the Sherman tree. The campsite does have limited availability due to spring flooding and the website can be confusing or have contradictory information. Calling the listed phone number is the best way to up to date info. I spoke to David several times and he was very helpful.
